More than 100 million Americans are living with diabetes or prediabetes, and Type 2 diabetes  accounts for up to 95 percent of those cases, according to the CDC. People with diabetes are at increased risk of serious health complications.

Understanding its causes and risk factors, and making important lifestyle changes can help make this disease more manageable. Those who have, or whose family member has been diagnosed with diabetes or prediabetes are urged to attend this informative presentation by Janelle Gaj, RD, LDN of Main Line Health at Riddle Hospital. She will answer questions and discuss how diabetics can improve their health and quality of life.

This presentation is one in a series of four Sip & Sit community service events hosted by The Hickman. Those planning to attend are asked to call 484-899-0547 or email  to reserve a seat.
