Why attend Energy Independence Day?
As many of you know, this Sunday, May 19th, will be our 5th annual Energy Independence Day. Why should you attend? For many, many reasons…
- This will be our largest yet with over 25 exhibitors, 2 bands, canning and health workshops, tons of kids activities, including painting and potting projects, a scavenger hunt, and face painting.
- Since we have a number of single men here at WOR, we are also adding a bachelor auction! The proceeds from the auction will support our MoGreena Garden Project fund.
- We have expanded our gardens this year and are working with some local farmers and officials, the Chester County Food Bank and the Coatesville Youth Initiative to get healthy organic produce into the hands of those in need, and to also provide nutritional education as the program grows.
- WOR is being honored this week at the Governor’s Impact Awards, and by SCORE of Chester County later in the month, so we MUST be doing something right. Right?
- MUSIC! by Hellsaddle and Josh Komorowski and the Sons of Thunder, and some surprise guests.
- BEER! from Victory Brewing Company
- Exhibitors who are making our community and world a better place, including: MoGreena Garden Project / Chester County Food Bank , Philadelphia Block and Board , Take Shape for Life , Land Conservancy of Chester County, The Energy Co-op, 4CP, Western Chester County Chamber of Commerce, Southern Chester County Chamber of Commerce, Hands Down Massage and Body Work, Childhood Dolls by Paula, BioGreen, Green Light Plants, Inverbrook Farm, Organic Mechanics Potting Soil, Birl Girl Designs, Hometown Green LLC, Ambit Green Energy, Fitchett Chiropractic, Robin Mastrippolito, Confectioner, Fred’s Foreign Cars, Paulsonbuilt, and the Coatesville Area Arts Alliance.
- And since she did such a great job last year, Brenda Brittel will be our food vendor again.
- Admission is FREE!
- The businesses at MoGreena, located in the historic borough of Modena, are diverse and creative, but all share a common theme: Everyone here is dedicated to making our community and our world a better place.
- Our friend Kathleen Brady Shea from The Coatesville Times thinks you should, and she knows what’s up.
But the MAIN reasons to come?
MoGreena is COOL and EID is fun!
SO! Now that you’re planning to attend, just remember to bring a blanket, some chairs, and a smile!
