View the Chadds Ford Historical Society's exhibit that changes with the seasons! The "Ford" Seasons is an exhibit that features seasonal photographs from the Chadds Ford Historical Society and other private collections. Seasonal changes in rural communities are marked not just by nature, but by work, recreation and celebration.  Up until the mid-twentieth century, farms and fields carpeted the sprawling landscape of Chadds Ford. The residents of these farms led lives that were heavily regulated by natural cycles of the sun, tides and seasons. These cycles dictated when and what type of work must be done, and when there were opportunities to relax and enjoy the company of friends and family. In this rotating exhibit, you will witness seasonal traditions over the years in this longstanding quiet, pastoral town. As you explore The Ford Seasons think about how natural cycles dictate your daily modern lifestyle – here in Chadds Ford or in your own community.

Every few months the photographs will be replaced to reflect new images from that time of year. Join us for a special reception at each season change!
