3rd Annual Care 2 Cure Walk/Run

to Benefit Crozer Regional Cancer Center Is Added To Oct. 24

Schedule to Celebrate 10th Anniversary of Crozer Brinton Lake

The Crozer Cancer Project Team will host the 3rd Annual Care 2 Cure Walk/Run in Glen Mills on Oct. 24. The race will start at 8 a.m. at the Crozer-Keystone Cancer Center (500 Evergreen Drive, Glen Mills) with the runners and walkers able to enjoy either a 5K run or one mile walk on a certified course that winds through the Shoppes at Brinton Lake. On-site registration will begin at 7:30 a.m. on Oct. 24.

Proceeds from the race will benefit the Crozer Cancer Project Team, which is committed to ensuring that the Crozer Regional Cancer Center remains a comprehensive, leading edge provider of accessible, compassionate and state-of-the-art cancer care for patients in our region.

You will save time and money by registering prior to Oct. 9 with early registration only $25 for adults and $15 for children under 15. Saturday, Oct. 24 promises to be a fun day at Crozer Brinton Lake. In addition to the event above, a family-friendly Community Celebration event is planned to recognize the 10th Anniversary of this comprehensive outpatient complex from 9 a.m. to noon. All ages are invited to this event at 300 and 500 Evergreen Drive in Glen Mills that will feature:

  • Refreshments and giveaways
  • Health information, screenings and flu shots
  • Performances throughout the morning, including local favorites Makin’ Music Rockin’ Rhythms and Mr. Scott the Music Man
  • Children’s activities
  • Ceremonial cake-cutting featuring local elected officials
  • Tours and scavenger hunt to meet physicians and staff members throughout both buildings.

Crozer Cancer Project Team

Under the leadership of Dr. Raymond Vivacqua, the Crozer Cancer Project Team was formed in 2013 to help raise funds for the Crozer Regional Cancer Center. On a regular basis, the committee hosts a variety of fundraisers to support the Cancer Center with past events including Phillies games, dinners at popular local restaurants, theatre performances, and designer bag bingo.
