The Chester County Art Association in West Chester is inviting the public to attend its Holiday Artisan Market. Borrowing the magic and charm of Austrian seasonal outdoor markets, it will open on Dec. 11 from 3 to 7 p.m. with an assortment of beautiful handcrafted items – ideal for gift-giving –  mulled wine and cookies. The art association is located at 100 N. Bradford Ave., West Chester, 19382.

To celebrate the release of the new Star Wars movie, Kennett Public Library is hosting Force Fridays on Dec. 4, 11 and 18 from 3:30 to 5 p.m. Children ages 5 and older are invited to participate in special Star Wars-related activities. On Dec. 4, the library will have arts and crafts stations to make Star Wars swag. Knowledgeable about Star Wars, you are? Prove it, you will, at the Trivia Challenge on Dec. 11. Shop for holiday gifts from 16 regional artisans, listen to festive music performed by local choirs, and enjoy floral arrangements from Celebrations Design Group, Flowers by Yukie, and Elkton Florist inspired by the works from Poetry in Beauty: The Pre-Raphaelite Art of Marie Spartali Stillman.

Special holiday-themed art projects will also be available for children and their families and winter-themed beverages and treats will be available for sale in the Museum's Thronson Café. Storytimes are held at the Kennett Public Library on Mondays at 10 a.m. for toddlers and 11 a.m. for pre-schoolers. Join us for read-aloud stories, songs, crafts and fun. Bog Turtle Brewery will release its first offering at the SawMill Grill, 306 Market St., in Oxford on Monday, Dec. 21, at 5 p.m. The brew, called Devil’s Nine Ball, is a hoppy, citrusy American pale that has been years in the making, according to press release from Oxford Mainstreet.
