Traditional CSA – started 2010, First and foremost, winemaking begins with farming, one of the oldest professions in the world. In 2007, one third of the world's workers were employed in agriculture. Paradocx is proud to be a “Farm First” winery offering our wine in a CSA format (Community Supported Agriculture). Members purchase a traditional “share” of our wine at the beginning of the season, when the farmer and winemaker need start-up capital for equipment, supplies, etc. In return, members receive an annual supply (2 cases) of estate made Paradocx wine to be picked up four times per year. Other benefits include: 15% off additional wine purchases, free admission to our summer concert series, access to vintner's prerelease wines and free wine tastings. Paradocx Vineyard, a 5,000 case winery, combines current technology and handcrafted secrets to create unique wines, made from 90% homegrown grapes, and from those of only selected custom growers. Paradocx’s home vineyard, nestled among the rolling hills of southern Chester County, Pennsylvania, comprises vinifera and premium hybrid wine grapes and encompasses 100 acres of land, 30 of which are under vine. 27 acres are vinifera vine and 3 acres are Chambourcin and Vidal vine. New addition to Paradocx Premium bottled wines & “Famous Paint Cans”
Three new sweet wine varieties, Niagara, Catawba and Concord and our Famous “T” wine now available in a unique ”wine pouch”. Each pouch made with an 80% Lower Carbon Footprint, 90% less waste than glass. These pouches have a push button spout and each include 2 standard 750ml bottles of wine (1.5 liters) Five varieties of Paradocx wine are packaged in the “famous paint cans,” a unique wine packaging system developed and patented by Paradocx Vineyard. These innovative paint cans have a push button spout and each includes four and a half standard size bottles of wine (3.5 Liters). These are produced in addition to Paradocx Vineyard’s twenty plus premium bottled wines.
Paradocx Vineyard is owned and operated by the Hoffman and Harris Families. The name of the winery is a play on words, as the four principles are practicing physicians (Pair of Docs). In addition to a full-time staff, members of both families and committed friends tend to making the winery a successful venture. Paradocx Vineyard is a member of the popular Brandywine Valley Wine Trail.
Paradocx’s Winery location includes wine service in “flights,” through the use of a system widely used in Napa and Sonoma Valley, California, the Cruvinet Wine Preserving and Dispensing System. A cruvinet is a temperature controlled system that keeps wines as fresh as the moment they are uncorked for up to six weeks, eliminating spoilage and waste. Paradocx’s new cruvinet system will allow up to 18 wines to be served at one time, providing consumers with a wider variety of wines in one tasting experience.
Paradocx Vineyard’s home vineyard is located at 1833 Flint Hill Road, in Landenberg, PA. This location will continue to offer a wide range of activities for wine lovers, including a live summer concert series, private events including weddings and birthday celebrations, and holiday themed events throughout the year.
