• Longwood Gardens A Longwood Christmas gets underway on Nov.21 with an event at The Creamery of Kennett Square. It’s Plantology on Tap: The Outdoor Magic of A Longwood Christmas. Tyler Altenburger and Dylan Drake of the Longwood arborist team give a behind-the-scenes look at the magic of A Longwood Christmas outdoor display and explore the year-long process that goes into making this one-of-a-kind display possible, from initial planning to installation. The fee is $29. Doors open at 5 pm, lecture begins at 6.
• Concord Township’s annual Fall Harvest Festival is this Saturday, Oct. 26, from 1-3 p.m. There will be a Halloween parade, a pet costume contest, hayrides and pumpkin picking. The festival is at Bush Hill Farm, 30 Bethel Road in Concord Township.

• The Oxford Art Alliance presents At the Beginning of Seeing, an exhibit featuring the works of six artists: Stacy Caldwell, Roger Chavez, Cody Heichel, Henry Murphy, Nicolas Potoskie, and Laura Vahlberg. The exhibit runs from Nov. 1-25. The opening night reception begins at 5 p.m. at the Alliance, 38 S. Third Street, Oxford.
• The Revolutionary Speaker Series continues at the Brandywine Battlefield Park in Chadds Ford on Saturday, Nov. 9. The speaker is Heather Wholey. She will discuss her archeological survey at the Benjamin Ring House that Gen. George Washington used as a headquarters before the Battle of Brandywine. The talk runs from noon to 1:30 p.m. There will also be a flag retirement ceremony at 2 p.m. that day.

• Coming to The Grand is three-time Grammy Award-winning artist Lucinda Williams, whose show An Evening with Lucinda Williams and Her Band will soon play at Wilmington’s Copeland Hall on Nov. 24.
