Police Log June 19: Identity theft, assault, drunkenness

A Pennsbury Township resident on Crosslands Drive reported a case of identity theft to state police. According to the report, there was no financial loss, but the victim gave personal information during an Apple Security scam. Police are investigating.

David Aceto, 32, was charged with simple assault, public drunkenness, and other related offenses, following an altercation, during which he allegedly bit a female's arm, leaving visible teeth marks, a police report said. The incident occurred on June 8, in the 700 block of Lafayette Street. According to the report, officers made contact with Aceto, who had a strong odor of alcoholic beverages emanating from him and was swaying while standing still. Aceto was taken into custody and transported to Central Booking at Chester County Prison for processing and his preliminary arraignment. Charges were filed in District Court 15-3-04.

Police said Edwin Deleon-Urizar was arrested on charges of public drunkenness and possession of drug paraphernalia on June 5 near Magnolia Street and Filibert Alley. According to the report, police received a call about suspicious activity. The reporting party said that a white van had been parked at the intersection for over half an hour, with a man who was swaying back and forth, having trouble maintaining his balance. Due to Deleon-Urizar's level of intoxication, he was taken into custody and a blue wax baggie was found in his shorts pocket while conducting a search incident to arrest, police said. A criminal complaint was completed for the above-mentioned charges, and he was transported to Central Booking at Chester County Prison.
