Scouts from Boy Scout Troop 1 of Chadds Ford bring in the colors ar Brandywine Baptist Church..

The rain held off allowing for morning Memorial Day traditions of a ceremony at Brandywine Baptist Church and a parade in Kennett Square.

Visitors to the traditional ceremony at Brandywine Baptist Chadds Ford saw the colors brought in by Boy Scouts troops with Troop 31v of Chadds Ford leading the way, a military gun salute to the fallen, and heard a brief speech about the history of honoring fallen soldiers by Chadds Ford resident Eric Gartner, a retired U.S. Air Force colonel, and a current U.S. marshal.

In Kennett Square, high school marching bands, a military color presentation, and ethnic dancers filled the streets lined with spectators.
