A 53-year-old woman from Concord Township was victimized when someone broke into her car that was parked on Smithbridge Road and stole a purse containing credit cards and cash. The cards were used at the Walmart in Wilmington.

Police are investigating the theft of almost $100 worth of wine and beer from the Wawa at Namaans Creek Road on March 11.

State police said they arrested Richard Logiovino, 45, of Georgetown, Del., for shoplifting at the Home Depot in Concord Township on March 11. He is accused of stealing $1,996 worth of wall-mounted garage door openers.

A police report said Robert Pettiford, 41, of Upland, was arrested for possessing brass knuckles in open view in his car. The report said police stopped the car because of an expired registration.

Police said James Ronan, 51, of Broomall, was arrested on March 29 after he stole $35 from a cash register at Team Toyota in Concord Township. Ronan was a member of the overnight cleaning crew.

Four teenagers from Philadelphia, aged 16 to 19 were arrested for stealing $688 worth of merchandise from Lululemon in Concord Township on March 30.

Maribeth Porter, 36, of Marcus Hook, was arrested for DUI in Concord Township on April 2, according to a police report. No reason for the traffic stop was given in the report, but the arrest happened in the 800 block of Concord Road at 9:33 p.m.

Police said a 63-year-old man from Concord Township arrived at the Media barracks to say he was being blackmailed. No details were provided except to say the incident involved “dissemination of an intimate image.”

Eda Faulkner, 59, of Florham Park, N.J., was arrested on fraud charges in Concord Township, according to a police report. Police said Faulkner is accused of trying to make an unauthorized account withdraw from a bank account belonging to a West Chester resident.

Police said three cars were broken into on Evergreen Drive in Concord Township on Feb. 22. More than $1,700 worth of property and bank cards were taken.

Police said they arrested two people for shoplifting at Wegmans on Feb. 7. They identified the pair as Christine Childress, 36, of Wilmington, and James James, 37, of Newark. The pair are accused of stealing approximately $300 worth of merchandise.

Avondale Barracks

Driving at an unsafe speed caused a car to hydroplane and run off the road in Kennett Township on March 23. Police said Timothy M. Hollenback was driving north on Route 1 near N. Mill Road when he lost control due to hydroplaning. The car, a 2021 Subaru Legacy, spun out of control and struck the guide wire in the center median, continued to spin, and struck the wire again, the report said. Hollenback was able to regain control and bring the car to a stop on the right shoulder of the road. The report said Hollenback was cited but neither he nor his passenger were injured.
