Man sought on rape charges

Pennsylvania State Police from the Avondale barracks issued an arrest warrant for Erik Becerril-Perez for the alleged rape of a 13-year-old girl. The suspect has fled the area and his whereabouts are unknown, police said.

Any persons with information regarding the whereabouts of Becerril-Perez are asked to contact the Criminal Investigation Unit at PSP-Avondale, 610-268-2022 or contact the Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers toll-free at 1-800-4PA-TIPS (8477). All callers remain anonymous and could be eligible for a cash reward.

According to the police, a 13-year-old female and her mother arrived at PSP Avondale on Jan. 7 to report a rape that occurred on Dec. 28. Through the course of the investigation, police said, it was determined that Becerril-Perez raped the victim inside the victim’s residence. In addition, the suspect inappropriately touched her on multiple occasions during the span of two years
