• Police said Brittany L. Crawford, 28, of Oxford, was injured in a one-car crash in Pocopson Township on Jan. 29. The accident happened at 7:02 a.m. on Lenape Road. According to the police report, Crawford was driving east on Lenape Road when she struck a utility pole just west of Colonial Way. Longwood EMS transported her to Chester County Hospital. The report indicated that speed was a factor in the accident, but there was no mention of any citation.
• The Inn at Whitewing Farm in East Marlborough Township was victimized when someone deposited a fraudulent check for $13,637 that was drawn on the business’ checking account on Dec. 1. Police were called in on the case in late January. The account was frozen, police said, and the bank reimbursed the business.
