Mrs. Patricia G. Borroughs, 85, recently of Bel Air, Md., a longtime resident of Avondale, died Sunday, March 28, at her residence. She was the spouse of the late Rev. John Elwood Borroughs who passed away in 2013. Born on Nov. 13, 1935, in Baltimore, Md. she was the daughter of the late Phillip and Josephine (Lesieski) Gravels.

Mrs. Borroughs was a bank teller and a devoted pastor’s wife. She loved to support her husband’s church ministry by leading ladies ’ bible studies, was a Junior church Leader, and played the piano.  Her passion for her family and God was evident every day in her life.

Mrs. Borroughs is survived by her four children, Michele Hanks, Donna Borroughs, John Borroughs, and Karen Stefanides, 10 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.
