Peter L. Bartola of Chadds Ford

Peter L. Bartola, 86, of Chadds Ford, died Wednesday, June
15, at his residence. He was the husband of Violet Martin Bartola, with whom he
shared 63 years of marriage.

Born in Morea, he was the son of the late Cesare and Maria
DiGirolmana Bertoglia.

He was a Draftsman and General Manager at Philadelphia Toboggan
Coasters, Inc. in Lansdale, retiring in 1989.

Peter served his country in the US Army, during World War
II, serving in Japan and the Philippines.

He attended St. Cornelius Catholic Church, and was a member
of the American Legion Post 491 in Kennett Square.

Peter was an avid Phillies and Eagles fan, and enjoyed being
with his family and friends.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Peter
C. Bartola of Upper Darby, and Robert D. Bartola and his wife Catherine of
Pottstown; one daughter, Barbara Magee and her husband John of Westminster, Md.;
four grandchildren, John Magee, Jared Magee, Jesse Magee and Rebecca Bartola,
and one great granddaughter, Khloe Violet Magee.

You are invited to attend his funeral service at 11 a.m. on
Monday, June 20, at the Good Shepherd Mausoleum Chapel at Limerick Garden on
Memories, 44 Swamp Pike, Limerick. Entombment will follow at the Good Shepherd
Mausoleum.

In lieu of flowers, a contribution may be made to the
Longwood Fire Company, 1001 East Baltimore Pike, Kennett Square, PA 19348
