Learn to garden in harmony with nature from Mt. Cuba Center.

On March 27, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., discover how to garden in harmony with nature at Spring Gardening Saturday, an online lecture from Mt. Cuba Center. Learn how native plant gardens support pollinators and wildlife, benefit local water resources, and provide beautiful, healthy spaces for people to enjoy. Get motivated, with practical examples and plenty of native plant suggestions, to begin a manageable project that can provide a positive eco-impact. Register here.

The 30th annual Jazz Festival of West Chester University’s Wells School of Music is March 24-27. Students, educators, and audiences are invited to enjoy virtual jazz concerts and participate in live and pre-recorded master classes with jazz ensembles and experts. The YMCA of Greater Brandywine is hosting its first-ever virtual 5K from Saturday, April 24 through Saturday, May 1. All are invited to register individually or as a team at http://www.ymcagbw.org/runforgood5k. Each participant chooses the time and place to run or walk the 5K during the week of April 24-May 1. It can be on a treadmill, at their local Y, on a neighborhood street, a trail, or anywhere they choose and submits their walk/run time online. During the week, finishers will be entered to win raffle prizes daily. You do not need to be a member of the YMCA to participate. All are welcome. Those who register by Sunday, April 4, will receive early bird pricing of $28/runner and are guaranteed a special commemorative Run for Good t-shirt. Registration increases to $35/runner on April 5, and commemorative shirts are then only available on a first-come, first-serve basis.
