David Charles, 68, of Chadds Ford, a loving husband and father of two children died on Tuesday, Jan. 22.
He was born in 1950, in Media, to John and Grace Charles. He received his bachelor's degree at Villanova University and his master's degree at Temple University. Dave, as he was known, worked for Christiana Care for over 30 years and retired in 2016.
He had a passion for classic cars, golfing, and summers in the Outer Banks of North Carolina. He was also known for his love of animals, in particular, his Bouvier, Bear.
Dave is remembered with love by his wife of 37 years, Valerie, son Jay, daughter-in-law Pauline, daughter Dori, and son-in-law Ryan. Dave will also be fondly remembered by his two grandchildren, Hadley and Landon, and by his sister Lydia.
A memorial service in memory of Dave will be held on Friday, Jan. 25, at 11 a.m. at Chandler Funeral Home, 2506 Concord Pike, Wilmington, Delaware 19803.
