PennDOT has announced the following road projects, which are weather-dependent and could affect residents in the greater Chadds Ford area during the week of Jan. 7 through Jan. 13. Motorists are urged to allow extra time if they are traveling through one of the construction zones.
• On Saturday, Jan. 28, through Thursday, Feb. 2, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., intermittent lane closures are scheduled on northbound and southbound Interstate 476 between the Routes 1 and 30 Interchanges in Springfield, Marple, Radnor, and Haverford townships, Delaware County, for spray patching.
• On Monday, Jan. 30, and Tuesday, Jan. 31, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., lane closures are scheduled on northbound and southbound Route 202 in Tredyffrin Township, Chester County, for concrete bridge repairs.
• On Tuesday, Jan. 31, from 10 to 11 a.m., one lane will be closed on the Devon Park Drive ramp to Route 422 west/U.S. 202 north/Interstate 76 West in Tredyffrin Township, for overhead sign inspection.
• Utility installation will also cause lane restrictions on Route 100 North, between Crosspoint Drive and Taylor’s Mill Road, in West Goshen Township, through Feb. 3.
• Green Valley Road, between Powell and Brandywine Creek roads, in Newlin Township, remains closed for bridge repair. Detours are posted.
