The Westtown-East Goshen Regional Police Department is pleased to report that the missing, elderly East Goshen resident was safely located by the Central Bucks Regional Police on Easton Road in Bucks County on Friday night, Dec. 18.
In a press release, police said an alert officer was following the red Ford Crown Victoria owned by Porter May, 86, and ran the tag to find the vehicle entered into a national database in reference to this case. The officer made contact with May, who was disoriented and uncertain where he was.
May reported that he had been driving since 9:30 a.m. He had left his residence on Friday, Dec. 18, at 10 a.m. for a doctor’s appointment in West Goshen Township, but never arrived. Police transported May to the Central Bucks Regional Police Department, where he was reunited with family members, the release said.
The Westtown-East Goshen Regional Police Department expressed thanks to all who assisted in the investigation.
