At Charles F. Patton Middle School, green thumbs provided the catalyst for national Green Ribbon recognition on the nation's 45th Earth Day. The U.S. Department of Education announced on Wednesday, April 22, that Patton was one of only 58 schools in the country that received the 2015 U.S. Department of Education Green Ribbon Schools award.
