Dolores R. McLaughlin (nee Carmen), 94, of Glen Mills, formerly of Drexel Hill, died June 19. Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Helen Carmen (nee McKenna). She was retired from Bell Telephone in Lansdowne where she was employed as a supervisor for many years.
Dolores was the loving wife of the late Robert A. McLaughlin. Dear mother of her five children Robert (Marie) McLaughlin, David (Elva) McLaughlin, Nancy (Thomas) O'Connor, Helene (James) McDevitt and Joseph (Elizabeth) McLaughlin. Loving grandmother of 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Sister of the late Robert (Margaret) Carmen, the late Gerard (Madeline) Carmen and the late Paul Carmen. Godmother to Peggy Ann Carmen and Caitlin O'Connor.
Relatives and friends are invited to her viewings Wednesday, June 25, 2014 7-9 p.m. and Thursday, June 26, 9-10:15 a.m. The Donohue Funeral Home, 3300 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square (610-353-6300) and to her Funeral Mass 11 a.m. St. Andrew the Apostle Church, 3500 School Lane, Drexel Hill. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery in Yeadon. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory to The Deborah McLaughlin Children's Trust, C/O Kathleen Carmen, Esq. 117 N.
