Crozer-Keystone helps DelCo residents with food & toy drive

Crozer-Keystone Health System recently completed its annual food drive to benefit the Community Action Agency of Delaware County, Inc., Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry in Prospect Park, and the Chester Food Shelters. This year’s food drive also included the efforts of the Delaware County Chamber of Commerce and its membership. Everyone gave generously to provide Thanksgiving meals for local Delaware County families in need.

The community outreach within the health system continues in December through the Crozer-Keystone holiday toy drive. Health system employees are collecting unwrapped toys for kids under age 15, through Dec. 20. All of the toy donations are distributed by the CAADC prior to Christmas to local families experiencing economic hardship. Once again, the Delaware County Chamber of Commerce and its membership have teamed up with Crozer-Keystone to offer support and promotion of the toy drive to the County’s business community. The CAADC also has additional drop off locations for toys at local community organizations and businesses that can be found at www.caadc.org.

Organizations such as the CAADC depend on partnerships with the local business community to support their mission, and Crozer-Keystone has enjoyed hosting charitable initiatives such as food drives and toy drives that benefit the CAADC for many years. Ed Coleman, executive director of the CAADC, commented, “Crozer-Keystone does a wonderful job working with the local community and thanks to their efforts this year we were able to provide 140 Thanksgiving meals to families who asked for our assistance.”
