Russell S. Marino of Kennett Square

Russell S. Marino, 63, of Kennett Square, formerly of Swedesboro, N.J., died of a heart attack on Friday, April 12. He was the son of the late Samuel Marino and Mary Leotta Marino. He was a graduate of Kingsway Regional High School and the RCA Technical Institute for computer electronics. He served in the United States Air National Guard.

Mr. Marino designed, was general contractor, owner and operator of Dog Patch Kennel during his marriage to his first wife, Dawn (Wilson) Marino. He was currently employed by Delaware City Refining Company, LLC.

Russell is survived by his soul mate and wife of four years, Diane (Cook) Marino, his son, David Marino, his daughter, Rose Stein (Ray), his stepsons, Ross (Katie) and Daniel Shacklett and his grandchildren, Jessica and Jake Stein. \ Russell is also survived by his sisters, Alfina Ringleben (Charlie) and Verna Nankervis(James).

Russell enjoyed ballroom dancing, attending dinner theaters, and especially traveling with Diane. He had a passion for gardening and beautifying his personal yard as well as helping to maintain his neighborhood. Mr. Marino was a great sports enthusiast and could discuss any referee call and any player in any sport with great passion. He enjoyed hunting and donated his venison to feed the hungry. Russell will be missed for his quick wit and sense of humor. He brought love and laughter to his family and friends and will be deeply missed.

You are invited to visit with his family and friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 17, and again from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 18, at the Kuzo & Grieco Funeral Home, 250 West State Street in Kennett Square, (Phone: 610-444-4116).
