Premier at People’s Light and Theater Company

Guns, brothers, and booze mix explosively at premier of “Mr. Hart and Mr. Brown.”  People’s Light and Theater Company might have been called People’s Light and Sound Company Wednesday, July 18 when the show opened.

A Duesenberg arrives in a small town inNebraska.  The era is the 1920s and prohibition.  A larger-than-life Mr. Brown appears with picnic basket, a bottle of wine and phonograph record playing Italian Opera.

Mr. Brown is seeking his brother Mr. Hart.  Philadelphia Playwright Bruce Graham’s play weaves a tale of brothers reunited.  Their needs and wants from each other strain concept of family.

A journalist senses a story.  His struggle begins as thousands of dollars are thrust into his pocket not to report the story.

This reporter feels his pain.

I’m not going to tell the story.  The play runs through Sunday, July 19, 7 p.m.  For more information go to http://peopleslight.org/
