• Pennsylvania State Police are investigating a theft at Mushrooms Café on Route 1 in Pennsbury Township. A police report said $170 was missing from the store’s cash register. The incident happened sometime between July 8 and 10. Anyone with information is asked to call the police at 610-268-2022.
• State police said a 56-year-old woman from Kennett Square was taken to Christiana Hospital with minor injuries following a one-car accident on Route 52 in Pennsbury Township. The injured woman was identified as Anamarie Vignola. According to police, Vignola was driving a 2005 Nissan Altima southbound on July 10 at 6:12 p.m. when the car left the road for unknown reasons.
• A woman, who police said, is “mentally unstable” was charged with disorderly conduct after she was seen pulling on car doors in the Glen Eagle Square parking lot on July 7. A police report said the 34-year-old with a Garnet Valley address became physical with the general public and police when confronted. She was taken to Crozer Crisis Center.
• Police are looking for an unidentified white man after he punched out a windshield at Route 1 and Brinton Lake Road shortly before 6 a.m. on July 14. A police report said the man got out of his own vehicle and struck the windshield of another, causing the window to crack. He reportedly fled south on Route 1 in a white Ford F150 with unknown registration.
• In the month of June, Birmingham Township Police responded to 1,092 incidents and made four criminal arrests. Police Chief Tom Nelling told township supervisors on July 16 that among the incidents were 14 thefts that included 12 from unlocked cars. In one case, keys were left in the car and the thief, or thieves, moved the car from one end of a development to the other.
