Mildred Anna Whitfield, 88, of Jennersville, died Friday,
Oct. 21, at the Jennersville Regional Hospital. She was the wife of William C.
Whitfield, Jr., who died in 2005, and with whom she shared 62 years of
marriage.
Born in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late
Andrew R. and Mildred Townsend Bolger.
She was a homemaker and community volunteer. Mrs. Whitfield
was an avid reader and bridge player. She especially enjoyed being with her
family and friends.
She was a member of St. John’s Episcopal Church in
Concordville.
Mrs. Whitfield is survived by two daughters, Kathleen
Balcerzak and her husband Edwin of Sagamore Hills, Ohio and Janice
Shrader and her husband Ralph, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services and burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, a contribution in her name may be made
