Robert Lloyd DeShields

Robert Lloyd DeShields, 68, died Sunday
Aug. 28, in Union Hospital, Elton, Md.

Butch, as he was so affectionately
known, was born in West Chester the third child of Mary Louise and Lloyd B.
DeShields. He was raised and did his schooling in West Grove. He graduated from
Avon Grove H.S. in 1961. He enjoyed playing soccer, baseball and running track,
a true athlete.

Butch enlisted in the United States Air
Force where he served as a military nurse in 1965, honorably discharged in
1969. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, out door cooking, hunting and all around
enjoyed his family and friends. He worked at Hewett Packard for 30 years
and became disabled in 1987.

He was pre-deceased in death by his
long time companion Shirley, mother Mary Louise DeShields and father Robert
Lloyd DeShields. Butch will forever be cherished in the hearts of sisters Mary
Taggart and Evelyn Murray of Wilmington, brother Albert Carter (Ann) of
Coatesville, and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews,
cousins, extended family and friends.

A reception will be held on Sept. 10.
