Joanne E. Kelley Bruecks, 65, of West Grove, died Monday April 27 surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Joseph R. Bruecks with whom she shared 46 years of marriage.
Born in Darby, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Elaine (Hayes) Kelley.
She was an office manager at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary School in West Grove for more than 20 years retiring in 2008. She managed the Supermarket Gift Certificate program that benefited the Assumption School. Joanne also fought the technology age and insisted on talking with friends and family on the phone and not by email. She enjoyed every moment with her children and grandchildren especially during the summer at the family pool.
Survivors include in addition to her husband, four sons, Michael and his wife Julie of Landenberg, Mark and his wife Terrie of Chadds Ford, Brian and his wife Marie of Lincoln University, and John of West Chester, three daughters; Colleen of West Grove, Karen of West Grove and Kate Parker and her husband Wes of Coatesville, two sisters, Paula Bryan and her husband Jer of Wallingford, and Debbie Schmucker and her husband Steve of Holmes, and twelve grandchildren, Keira, Zach, Jennifer, Alyssa, Kylee, Tyler, Cameron, Emma, Tristan, Cassandra, Charlotte, and Anna.
A mass of Christian burial will be held 11 a.m. Friday May 1 at the Assumption BVM Church 300 State Road (across from Avon Grove High School) West Grove PA 19390. Friends and family may visit with the family from 6-8 p.m. Thursday April 30 at the Kuzo & Grieco Funeral Home (610-444-4116) Kennett Square, PA 19348 and from 10-11 a.m. the morning of the service at the church.
