The Kennett Symphony at Longwood Gardens on June 30.

It’s Kennett Symphony: Under the Stars — Halls of Magic at Longwood Gardens Open Air Theatre on Sunday, June 30 at 7:30 p.m. The program includes Modest Mussorgsky/Maurice Ravel – Pictures at an Exhibition, and John Williams/Patrick Doyle/Alexandre Desplat – Harry Potter Symphonic Suite. Reserved seating is $50. Get tickets here. In the event of rain, this concert will be held at Unionville High School, 740 Unionville Road.

Mt. Cuba Center is offering an adult-only event Gin & Junipers THIS Saturday, June 15 from 3:30-5:30 p.m. This well-loved spirit has evolved from an herbal medicine to a staple behind the bar, originating in the Middle Ages and popularized during the reign of King William III, gin derived its predominant flavor from juniper berries. Today, gin is produced in subtly different styles and brands. Learn the history of gin, the role of junipers in gin production, and taste a variety of gins distilled with herbs, spices, and fruit. (Ages 21 and over.) The cost is $45. Register and pay here.

A Juneteenth celebration at Spring Valley AME Church.

Concord Township will celebrate Juneteenth with the burial of a time capsule at Spring Valley AME Church on Wednesday, June 19 at 10 a.m. The time capsule burial will be followed by an open house at the restored church, located at 270 Spring Valley Road in Concord Township.

Learn flower arraigning at Rachel Kohl Library.

Care to learn flower arraigning? Head to the Rachel Kohl Library for a make-and-take craft with a local flower arrangement professional. Participants will learn how to create and arrange their own masterpieces on the fourth Tuesday of each month. All materials will be provided by the library. There is a $10 materials fee due at the time of registration. Please either come into the library to sign up or call 610-358-3445. The event is June 25 from 11 a.m. to noon. Spaces are limited.

Joe Deninzon & Stratospheerius will be performing at the Kennett Flash on Thursday, June 27 at 7 p.m. The cost is $25 with an additional $5 BYOB. The Kennett Flash is at Kennett 108 E State Street in Kennett Square. In addition to his own group Stratospheerius, Deninzon is the newest member of the group Kansas. For tickets, go here.
