Museum Explorer Mornings

Thursday mornings, July 3 through 31

Introduce children to art this summer. Participate in one or all five of these workshops designed for children ages 3 to 10 accompanied by an adult. Each program will include a thematic, interactive guided tour followed by a creative art project. Two sessions will be held each day: Session A: 10 a.m. or Session B: 11 a.m. Workshops are free with regular museum admission.   • July 3: Red, White and Blue
    Find red, white and blue in works of art and design a flag using these colors and more.
  • July 10: Paint by Nature
    Observe how artists paint nature and capture the beauty of the Brandywine landscape using watercolor crayons.
  • July 17: Amazing Animals
    Look for animals in paintings and sculpture and assemble an imaginative creature.
  • July 24: Fine Lines
    Discover lines of every kind in art throughout the museum and draw a scratch art scene.
  • July 31: Portrait Parade
    Explore traditional and unusual portraits and create a self-portrait collage
