!! Chester County's Fifth Annual Landlord Forum will take place on Wednesday, September 17, 2014, from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM at the Chester County Public Safety Training Center, 137 Modena Road, Coatesville, PA 19320.
The forum is intended for local landlords to learn how they can be a critical piece of the Decade to Doorways initiative, Chester County’s 10-Year Plan to Prevent and End Homelessness.
Landlords will receive information regarding tenant assistance resources, increase their understanding of renting to special populations, foster collaboration on reducing barriers to affordable housing, and take part in an organized networking session.
This year’s forum will offer a series of engaging presentations on topics including:
- The eviction process and how you can protect your investment by avoiding common mistakes;
- Becoming a Section 8 landlord and partnering with other subsidy programs;
- Resources to help landlords better understand fair housing;
- The HUD inspection process;
- Information on environmental remediation
In addition, resource tables will be available offering relevant literature and a chance to speak with a variety of program experts. All attendees will be provided with a complimentary lunch.
