It was a traditional Black Friday weekend in the greater Chadds Ford area, from Chadds Ford Township to Kennett Square. The Brandywine River Museum of Art opened another Brandywine Christmas featuring the always popular O-gauge trains and Kennett Square held its tree-lighting parade that brought in the New Years’ Eve mushroom to be dropped at midnight on Dec. 31 and the appearance of Santa and Mrs. Claus.
