The Chadds Ford Historical Society is planning another drive-through event. This time it’s a Valentine’s Day drive-through bread sale on Saturday, Feb. 13 at the Barn Visitors’ Center. The sale is 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The bread will be made in the beehive oven at the John Chads House by Chadds Ford’s Lisë Taylor.

The Philadelphia Orchestra will present its 31st annual Martin Luther King Jr., Tribute Concertonline on Monday, Jan. 18, at 7 p.m. on www.philorch.org and www.facebook.com/PhilOrch. The program — led by Music Director Yannick Nézet-Séguin — will celebrate the life and legacy of Martin Luther King Jr., through music and interviews with prominent Philadelphians who are continuing Dr. King’s work today. This digital concert is free; RSVP now at www.philorch.org. The show is generously presented by PECO, with additional support provided by the Annenberg Foundation and the National Endowment for the Arts.

Mt. Cuba Center is holding an Owl Howl on Thursday, Jan. 14 from 5-7:30 p.m. Following a brief introductory lecture, people will head out into the garden and listen for their unique calls. Mt. Cuba Center’s varied landscapes and topography provide the ideal habitats for four of Delaware’s native owl species – the barred, barn, great horned, and Eastern screech – and winter is the best time to spot them roosting in our trees. Owls are nocturnal so join us as we search for them just after dusk. Dress for the weather. (Class size is limited.) A second howl is scheduled for Jan. 28. The cost is $19. Register here.

• Craig Williams was sworn in as a state representative to serve the people of the 160th District in his first term in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. Williams replaces Steve Barrar, who retired after 12 terms in office. Williams will be moving into Barrar’s former district office at One Beaver Valley Road, at Beaver Valley Road and Route 202 in Concord Township.
