International Justice Mission
Aug 24 @ 11:00 – 12:00

You are invited to a Brunch and Learn session with International Justice Mission, a global organization that advocates for the rights of the poor, including investigating and prosecuting human trafficking, fighting against police corruption, and working with local government to create and implement just legislation.

Thanks to guest donations in 2016, Salon Secrets Spa helped raise $2000 in contributions to fight human trafficking through Dressember, and these funds benefited IJM in part.

We are excited to welcome Alesha Guruswamy Rusk, who serves as the Senior Program Manager for IJM in South Asia. In her role, Ms. Rusk works closely with IJM's field offices in South Asia, which focus on combating sex trafficking and forced labor. She collaborates with field office staff in the design of new programs and in ensuring that IJM's work is as strategic and effective as possible, so that the justice systems will begin working on their own to protect and serve the poor. We are looking forward to the opportunity to learn more about IJM and the impact that the organization has around the world.

JOIN US on Thursday, August 24, from 11am - 12pm at Salon Secrets Spa

for a time of storytelling around the work of International Justice Mission.

Small bites, coffee and tea will be provided.

RSVP to [email protected]

Thanks to you for your support of International Justice Mission and Dressember! We hope to see you there.

“Escape Brandywine” Historic Escape Room Experience
Aug 26 @ 10:00

Escape Brandywine: Historic Escape Room Experience at the Chads House

Every Saturday this Summer through Labor Day at 10am, 12pm, 2pm and 4pm

RESERVATIONS REQUIRED

Escape Brandywine is a new historically immersive escape room presented by Chadds Ford Historical Society.   Your experience is set inside John Chads House, c.1725 historic home located along site of the Battle of Brandywine.   This escape room program is unlike any other, since it places you directly inside an authentic historical space with a Revolutionary War mission!
Escape Brandywine places participants into roles of spies on the eve of the Battle of Brandywine, and charges them with finding General Howe's battle plans that have been hidden inside the Chads House for safe keeping.   Using real Revolutionary War spy techniques, codes and cyphers, players will have 60 minutes to solve puzzles that will allow them to locate the plans and escape the house to deliver the plans to George Washington!

Tickets must be purchased in advance online, as space is limited.

Interested in hosting a PRIVATE escape room for your group?  You can either purchase all of the slots for an event time - allowing you to ensure your members are the ONLY participants for that time (remaining available tickets is shown on each time slot's ordering page).
Alternatively, if these times don't work for you, we can arrange a private escape room for your team or group (additional fee may apply).   We can create packages for corporations, businesses and private parties, combining the use of our Meeting Room space and the interactive, team-building escape room experience!   For special pricing for corporate

Chadds Ford Days Festival @ Chadds Ford Historical Society
Sep 9 all-day

Chadds Ford Days began as a way to commemorate the Battle of Brandywine that was fought on September 11, 1777.   This important battle played a pivotal role in shaping our nation's future.   Although the battle was lost, it helped improve military tactics that resulted in winning the War for Independence and saving America.

As the years went by, the Chadds Ford Days festival grew to include over 60 of the region's finest craftsmen and colonial demonstrators, Revolutionary War reenactors, an array of culinary fare from local restaurants and food trucks, brewers and vintners, antique cars, children's activities, live music, special exhibits, historic tours of the John Chads House and so much more.  We invite you to join us for our 52nd annual festival!
