This gallery talk, led by assistant curator Amanda C. Burdan, will explore how Kent's broader experiences on Monhegan may have influenced his paintings.

Brandywine Ballet Company will perform in Delaware County’s Summer Festival at Rose Tree Park’s Amphitheater, Friday, July 26 at 7:30 p.m. The performance at Rose Tree Park is admission-free and open to the public. Rose Tree Park’s performance venue is a scenic hillside amphitheater, which features four grass terraces and is conveniently located at Route 252 & Rose Tree Road, just off Route 1.
Saturday, July 27, at 7 p.m., Brandywine Summit Camp Meeting will feature Jim and Wendy Allshouse in the historic open-air tabernacle located in the center of the camp meeting grounds. They sing a unique blend of Southern Gospel, country and contemporary music. The meeting is at 119 Beaver Valley Road.
From 12 - 6 p.m. "Sangria is named after the Spanish word for "blood" - "sangre" because of its typical dark-red color," ...at least that's what Wiki says. What Sangria means to us at Chaddsford is PARTY TIME. Our Sangria Sundays in July include live music (we encourage dancing, just not with the staff) wine slushies and spritzers at our outdoor wine bar (we try to come up with some crazy drink recipes), and catered food available for purchase (we have a great group of caterers we deal with). Darlington Arts Center will hold Thursday Night Live!, an indoor concert series by Darlington’s teaching artists on Thursday nights this August. All concerts are BYOB and guests are invited to bring a small picnic to enjoy. Newlin Grist Mill, Save The Valley, and The Beaver Valley Conservancy will be hosting the first annual Open Space Music Festival at Newlin Mill Park 219 Cheyney Road in Concord Township on Aug. 10 from noon until 7:30 p.m. The Open Space Music Festival is a call to action to protect the remaining open space in Concord Township and Delaware County. Save The Valley and The Beaver Valley Conservancy aim to preserve Beaver Valley in Concord as unspoiled open space for wildlife and outdoor recreation. Proceeds from the festival will be used to pursue the goal of maintaining and securing open space for our posterity. The festival will feature music from ten local and regional bands, craft beer from Victory Brewing Company, food from local vendors, pony rides, face painting, foods for the kids, Native American games, and more. Tickets are $20 in advance at openspacemusic.org or $25 at the gate.
