Tables are going quickly and registration will close by noon on Thursday, 4/25.
Gates will open for the yard sale at 9 a.m. and it runs until 2 p.m. What you don’t sell, you can either donate to Habitat for Humanity (there will be a truck there) or put in the dumpster in the park, or take back home with you. There will be a food cart there and music. Everyone has a great time and let’s hope for good weather!

We will be collecting residential propane tanks 20 lb., to be recycled with Comfort Home and Hearth, Chadds Ford

The program is presented in conjunction with the museum's current exhibition, Andrew Wyeth's "Ides of March:" The Making of a Masterpiece, which includes over 30 pencil and watercolor preliminary studies for the tempera and continues through May 19.
Brandywine River Museum, located on U.S. Route 1 in Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania, is open daily (except Christmas Day) from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Admission is $12 for adults; $8 for seniors ages 65 and over, $6 for students and children ages 6-12; free for children under six and Brandywine Conservancy members. Museum admission is free on Sunday mornings from 9:30 a.m. to noon (except May 26 during the Annual Antiques Show).

Bartram's Garden is the featured garden in the mid-Atlantic area for this year's National Public Garden Day. Race for Conservation Saturday, May 11
Runners come celebrate spring by racing for conservation on Saturday, May 11, 2013. The start/finish line is located at Stateline Woods Preserve, 814 Merrybell Lane, Kennett Square PA. This family friendly event has a supervised Kid’s Activity Corner, music, and food from Lulu’s Café on the Go. There are many challenges and great rewards for the 9K and 5K Runners alike. The Stateline Loop 9K is a participating race in the Trail Creek Trail Race Series—great cash prizes are awarded to the overall series winners. If you are only running our race, try your hand at the Purdy Darn Steep Pipeline on our 9K course. The first one to the top wins a $50 gift card from Trail Creek Outfitters. The Stateline Loop 5K race has great prizes to the winners and offers a moderately challenging course taking you through beautiful preserved open spaces. YMIC Raising Money to support African American and Latino Males in STEM/L
West Chester, PA, May 1 – Young Men In Charge (YMIC) announces a fundraising car wash on Saturday May 18 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at B. Reed Henderson High School, 400 Montgomery Avenue in West Chester. All proceeds will benefit the YMIC Foundation, Inc. Scholarship and Enrichment Programs.
The YMIC Foundation, Inc. is dedicated to increasing the number of African American and Latin American males in the science, technology, engineering, math and law practices (STEM/L), through academic tutoring, mentoring and financial assistance programs. We intend to accomplish this mission through partnerships and alliances with K-12 school districts, universities and industry practitioners through corporations.
The YMIC (Young Men in Charge) Foundation, Inc. is a 501 (c)(3) corporation dedicated to increasing the number of African American and Latino males entering into college within the Science, Technology, Engineering, Math and Law (STEM/L) disciplines, through academic tutoring, mentoring and financial assistance programs.

The Brandywine River Museum will offer free admission on May 18 as part of the Association of Art Museum Directors' (AAMD) Art Museum Day, coinciding with International Museum Day on Saturday, May 18, 2013. Last year, the Brandywine River Museum-along with more than 120 other AAMD member museums across North America-participated in Art Museum Day. "It is a pleasure for us to join our AAMD colleagues across the country in a celebration of art," said Brandywine River Museum director Thomas Padon. "The museum's renowned holdings of American art affirms the creative brilliance of generations of artists who have been influenced by and worked in the Brandywine Valley," Padon added.
The Delaware Art Museum will offer free admission on Saturday, May 18 as part of the Association of Art Museum Directors' (AAMD) Art Museum Day, which coincides with International Museum Day.
