Winner of three Tony Awards, Lionel Bart’s coming-of-age stage musical Oliver!—based upon the 1838 novel Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens—takes audiences on a wild adventure throughout Victorian England.
Follow along as Oliver Twist, a young orphaned boy, navigates London’s underworld of theft and violence, searching for a home, a family, and—most importantly—for love.
When Oliver is picked up on the street by a boy named the Artful Dodger, he is welcomed into a gang of child pickpockets led by the conniving, but charismatic, Fagin. When Oliver is falsely accused of a theft he didn’t commit, he is rescued by a kind and wealthy gentleman, to the dismay of Fagin’s violent sidekick, Bill Sikes. Caught in the middle is the warm-hearted Nancy, who is trapped under Bill’s thumb, but desperate to help Oliver, with tragic results.
A spirited, timeless production, Oliver! has been entertaining audiences since it first premiered in London in 1960. With songs like As Long as He Needs Me, Food, Glorious Food, and Where Is Love, Oliver! is a musical classic.

Have you ever dreamt of capturing the splendor of our Main Fountain Garden at night while having it all to yourself?
This is your opportunity. Join us and experience an exclusive evening doing just that, shooting and learning alongside a few peers and our expert instructor Dick Greenwood. You’ll photograph the Main Fountain Garden as it glows with its nighttime lighting, as well as capture the infinite colors and fanfare of a private Illuminated Fountain Performance, set up just for you.
So you can make the most of your time during your exclusive shoot, a few days before the onsite portion of the experience we'll meet online to talk about how best to photograph this storied space at night. To ensure that you get the most out of the experience, a few days after the shoot you'll have the opportunity to receive feedback from Greenwood and your peers in an online critique.

Witness The Terror of Mechagodzilla on 16mm film presented by Exhumed Films at Neshaminy Creek Brewing Company on Saturday, August 19th!
To celebrate the release of MECHA DRY, the new Japanese-Style Rice Lager, Neshaminy Creek has teamed up with Exhumed Films to host a screening of THE TERROR OF MECHAGODZILLA (MONSTERS FROM AN UNKNOWN PLANET) on 16MM. Exhumed Films has also put together a pretty rad reel of vintage trailers that’ll roll before the film begins. This is the longer UK theatrical version of the The Terror of Mechagodzilla released by Toho in 1975.
Electric Eats will be on sight for the night and there will be a popcorn machine to make this a real night out at the movies!
The final Storytime of the summer will be held on Wednesday, August 23rd at 10am in the Township park. Cancellations due to weather will be announced on the Township website and Facebook page.

Regional Center for Women in the Arts and Delaware Center for Horticulture combine for three artist show “Mother Nature”
A reception for the artists takes place Friday, September 8
The Regional Center for Women in the Arts and the Delaware Center for Horticulture have combined to present a show on the observation and interpretation of nature, by three established women artists. Artists Susan Foley, Nancy Sarangoulis and Deborah Zuchman will exhibit their work at the Delaware Center for Horticulture, 1810 N. Dupont Street, Wilmington, DE, from September 8 through October 30.
The exhibition opens with a reception to meet the artists on Friday, September 8 , 2023, from 5:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. RCWA is donating 50 percent of all sales to the Delaware Center for Horticulture for stipends to women artists to help exhibit their work. The mission of the Regional Center for Women in the Arts is to promote women artists.

Visit historic Newlin Grist Mill on Saturday, September 9, 2023 from 10 AM to 3 PM for a day of archaeology fun with the annual Archaeology Festival, held in partnership with the Delaware County Planning Department.
Discover the rich archaeological heritage that lies beneath our feet by assisting professional archaeologists with excavation and cleaning the artifacts we find. Local organizations will have displays of archaeological materials and information about excavations that have been conducted in the region, and professionals will be sharing their knowledge with the public. Younger visitors will especially enjoy our “Kids’ Dig” and pottery assembly activities. Food vendors will be onsite during the day, as well.
Newlin Grist Mill’s ongoing archaeology program seeks to evaluate archaeological resources and explore research questions concerning the development of the Newlin Grist Mill historic complex while enhancing public knowledge and providing opportunities for the public to participate in the archaeological process.
This year’s Archaeology Festival is sponsored by Visit Delco, with additional support by Hoffman’s Exterminating Co. and J&M Preservation.

Guests to this free event can bring a lawn chair or a blanket and listen to our distinguished speakers and Philadelphia bagpiper, Mark O’Donnell, paying tribute to the roughly 400 American, British, and Hessian (German) soldiers who perished during the battle, on this the 246th anniversary. In the event of inclement weather, the program will be held inside the Brandywine Battlefield Park Visitor Center.

Share your inspiring finds—and your fun garden adventures—and see a variety of unique landscape designs through the eyes of others.

The 7th Annual Coatesville Invitational Vintage Grand Prix weekend kicks off with a captivating evening under the stars at historic Brooklawn, nestled in the picturesque hills of Unionville, just a short 15-minute drive from downtown Coatesville. Hosted by CIVGP Committee member Crosby Wood and his wife Nancy, and co-hosted by the CIVGP Committee and the Western Chester County Chamber of Commerce, the PrixView Party is renowned as an exceptional networking occasion not to be missed!

Saturday, September 16, is the main event: the 7th Annual Coatesville Invitational Vintage Grand Prix and 1st Annual Auto/Moto Show. From 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., the historic streets of downtown Coatesville come alive with the awe-inspiring sights and sounds of extraordinary vintage automobiles and motorcycles dating from 1900 to 1983 navigating a challenging 2-mile road course. The event is free and open to the public. Explore the array of classic vehicles in Pit Row, shop at the vendor booths, relax in the beer garden, indulge at the food trucks, and have fun with the kids—especially at the soap box derby!
