Jason Ager BIO

Jason Ager is a blues-rock artist with hip-hop and R&B influences. Jason’s self-taught guitar style is distinguished by stylized palm muting and percussive striking. He has been playing original music since picking up the guitar, and has grown a loyal following in his hometown Philadelphia music scene. With stints in Washington, D.C. and Baltimore, Jason is a staple in clubs from New York to Virginia. He leads a trio that moves audiences to the dance floor, and also performs upbeat acoustic music that tests the boundaries of the traditional singer-songwriter.

Marlboro Road BIO

Marlboro Road is a no-nonsense hard working band. Straight up. Any genre of music could arguably be attached to Marlboro Road, but we don't care about labels. We aren't influenced by genres, we are influenced by good music. Good music by our definition means putting your heart and soul into a song and being proud to play it in front of anyone, anywhere. Brad McNemar - Lead Guitar, Glenn McNemar – Bass, Matt Creighton - Drums/Vocals, Chris Ferron - Lead Vocals

Rose Project BIO

Formed in 2008, Bill Rose has taken tales from travels around the world and combined them with modern folk music to define the honest sound of “Rose Project”. With blends of acoustic folk, introspective lyrics, and passion for truth, Rose Project conveys stories of earthly struggles and anecdotes of civil oppression. Rose Project attributes a big part of its sound to 1960’s folk music, modern outspoken artists, and stories shared by people met from across the globe. Listening to a Rose Project record is like stumbling across an old journal and as you read through it more and more, the truth that was once buried behind the facade of the writer, becomes more and more vivid.  Bill Rose - lead vocalist, Al Hahn- bass, Steve K. - drums, Anita Samis - backup vocalist, and David Walker - lead guitar.

Black Friday Art Dispersal

Join us the day after Thanksgiving
for Art
Refreshments and a Festive Atmosphere

An art dispersal seeks to challenge the idea of art as a commodity. Artists (mostly local) have freely given their work to be circulated and you are the vehicle that helps it move. You become the steward of a painting, a drawing, a piece of pottery (that means it goes to live with you) and you keep it forever, or until you want to return it to the artist, or pass it on to someone else who needs it. You didn’t buy it. Nobody owns it. If this kind of revolutionary activity inspires or moves you, there will be an opportunity to make a donation in support of the artists and the space.

Creek Road Bridge is focus of meeting
Nov 30 @ 18:30 – 20:30

PennDOT will host a public meeting to inform citizens and receive feedback on the plan to replace the Creek Road Bridge over Brandywine Creek and Octoraro Railroad in Pennsbury and Chadds Ford townships, a press release said.

The meeting will be held Monday, Nov. 30, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m in the Pennsbury Township Municipal Building at 702 Baltimore Pike.

PennDOT’s design team will be there to provide a project design update and address questions and present project plans illustrating the bridge reconstruction alignment alternatives.

The improvement project will replace the existing reinforced concrete arch bridge, which was built in 1927. The six span, structurally-deficient structure is 482 feet long and 22 feet wide. The bridge is a contributing element to the rural historic district, which is eligible for listing on the National Register of Historic Places

The project is currently in preliminary engineering design. The project is expected to go to bid for construction in the spring of 2019, the release said.
