Children ages 5-12 can experience what it was like to be a soldier in the 18th century. Penn-Del Neuropathy Network Support Group
We are very pleased to announce that Pam Shelmon, Executive Director for The Foundation for Peripheral Neuropathy will be speaking at our June 29, 2014 meeting from 2pm till 4pm. The meeting place is:

Neuropathy affects over 20 million Americans! The Foundation for Peripheral Neuropathy is a Public Charity committed to fostering collaboration among today’s most gifted and dedicated neuroscientists and physicians. These specialists from around the country will help us maintain a comprehensive view of the field and determine the research areas that hold the most promise in neuropathy research and treatment to develop new and effective therapies that can reverse, reduce and one day eliminate Peripheral Neuropathy. It is their ultimate goal to utilize every means and opportunity to dramatically improve the lives of those living with this painful and debilitating disorder.
Pam is not only the Executive Director; she also suffers from the disease. This gives her an even greater understanding of what patients go through on a daily basis. She will be discussing several topics that neuropathy sufferer’s battle each day.
We urge anyone interested in attending any of our meetings to please join us. Our monthly support group meeting is held the last Sunday of every month at The Hickman.

Museum Explorer Mornings
Thursday mornings, July 3 through 31
Introduce children to art this summer. Participate in one or all five of these workshops designed for children ages 3 to 10 accompanied by an adult. Each program will include a thematic, interactive guided tour followed by a creative art project. Two sessions will be held each day: Session A: 10 a.m. or Session B: 11 a.m. Workshops are free with regular museum admission. YORKLYN, DE – Join the Marshall Steam Museum at Auburn Heights for a July Steamin' Day! Bring the family and join us this Fourth of July weekend for a fun-filled day celebrating local history and life at the dawn of the automotive age. Featuring train rides in scaled locomotives and rides in historic automobiles. Enjoy the beautiful grounds of the Auburn Heights Estate during this great day for the whole family.
