Birmingham looking for Bush’s replacement

Birmingham Township supervisors have begun their search for a replacement for Supervisor Al Bush who died Aug. 28. Bush’s term ends at the end of 2013. Increased museum and garden admissions offer hope for economic recovery

Visitors to Longwood Gardens this summer increased by 51 percent when compared to last year. According to Paul Redman, Longwood’s director, good weather and the Munro light show contributed to the successful summer. Longwood Gardens admitted its one-millionth visitor last week. Brandywine Battlefield wins at baseball game

Friday night, July 27, was a classic win-win situation.  The Wilmington Blue Rocks surged to a 6-2 victory over the Carolina Mudcats, and the Brandywine Battlefield Park got the support of 116 area residents who bought tickets for the game.
