• The Brandywine River Museum of Art is celebrating the reopening of its revamped courtyard with Enchanted Courtyard by the Light of the Full Moon on Oct. 17 from

:30 to 9 p.m. Festivities include a full bar, heavy hors d'oeuvres, and live music by the Bill Handy Trio. Guests can also enjoy exploring the Museum's six galleries, including special exhibitions The Crafted World of Wharton Esherick and Up East: Andrew Wyeth in Maine. This is a 21 and older event. Cocktail attire is recommended. Admission is $50 for members and $75 for non-members.
• Tickets are now on sale for Longwood Gardens’2025 Indoor Performance Series. In celebration of the opening of the new Mediterranean-inspired West Conservatory, Longwood is also welcoming several artists with ties to, and showcasing the cultures of, Mediterranean climates from around the world. • Anyone interested in flower arranging should check out the Rachel Kohl Library on Sept. 24. It’s a make-and-take craft with a local flower arrangement professional. Participants will learn how to create and arrange their own masterpieces on the fourth Tuesday of each month. This month, participants will make a small fresh arrangement in a reusable crock. All materials will be provided by the library. There is a $10 materials fee due at the time of registration. Please either come into the library to sign up or call 610-358-3445. Spaces are limited. It’s Tuesday, Sept. 24 from 11 a.m. to noon.
• Broadway, television, and film star Robert Neary creates a one-of-a-kind tribute to one of the greatest and most successful recording artists in history with So Good! The Neil Diamond Experience and he is bringing it to Copeland Hall at The Grand on Friday, Sept. 27, at 8 p.m. Robert tells the stories behind some of the classic songs and performs over 20 of Neil's greatest hits. Backed by New York's premier band, The Mystic, SoGood! The Neil Diamond Experience is guaranteed to leave you cheering and wanting more. • Opening at the Brandywine Museum of Art this fall, The Crafted World of Wharton Esherick will explore the artistic legacy of Wharton Esherick (1887-1970), one of the most creative and interdisciplinary figures of twentieth-century American art, craft and design. Co-organized by the Brandywine and the Wharton Esherick Museum (WEM), this major exhibition will detail the artist’s career from his early woodcut illustrations for books by the avant-garde literati to his revolutionary reimagining of furniture forms as organic sculpture. The Crafted World features more than 70 works by the artist. The exhibit runs from Oct. 13 to Jan. 19.
