Former Delaware County Councilwoman and Concord Township Supervisor Colleen Morrone is back at the big table in Concord Township. On Wednesday night, Township Council appointed Morrone to replace Peter Pagano, who resigned from Council in October after serving for nine months.

Council Vice President John Gillespie moved to appoint Morrone, saying he had previously served with her for about 13 years, five on the Planning Commission, and another eight years on the then Board of Supervisors.
“It’s an honor to make this motion,” Gillespie said.
President Dominic Pileggi said he was “proud to second the motion.”
The vote to approve was unanimous, and District Justice Wendy Roberts administered the oath of office before Morrone took her place on Council.
Morrone, who is president and CEO of Goodwill Delaware and Delaware County, served six years on Delaware County Council after eight years as a township supervisor in Concord before the township changed to a home rule township, switching from a board of supervisors to a township council.
Other business
• Council also appointed Dan Moyer as the township’s new public works director. Moyer spent 23 years with the Aston Public Works Department. He also ran a landscaping business for 12 years, he said.
• Council approved a resolution to allow religious gatherings and attended religious displays on several township properties.
