• State police from the Media barracks are investigating a July 11 theft at the Home Goods store in Concord Township. According to the report, unknown suspects stole a cell phone from a 49-year-old woman who was shopping at the store between 11:30 a.m. and 12:45 p.m.
• Sean Edward McCarthy, 25, of Kennett Square, was charged with DUI following a traffic stop in the 100 block of Brinton Lake Road on June 17, a police report said. According to the report, the stop was made at 12:57 a.m. No other information was released.
• An 18-year-old male employee of the East Marlborough Walmart was taken into custody after he took some food and a drink from the store to consume while on a break, but never attempted to pay for the items, police said.
• Shahnaz A. Kasmani, 49, of West Chester, was cited after a one-car accident in Pocopson Township on July 6. A 10-year-old passenger might have been injured but there was not transported. According to a state police report, Asmani was driving a Nisan Versa north on Lenape Road when he failed to negotiate a left-hand curve. The vehicle went off the roadway and struck a utility pole. The driver said she hurt her head, arm and stomach. The youth complained of knee pain, the report said.
• State police from the Avondale barracks said James Allan Folger, 56, of Enfield, Conn., was arrested for DUI on July 13. A report said Folger’s vehicle appeared to be disabled was blocking traffic on Route 1 near Kendal Drive in Kennett Township at 2:10 p.m.
