Come meet all the wonderful animals available now for adoption at the Brandywine Valley SPCA. All featured pets are “Name Your Price” adoption fee until Monday, June 27/. Not ready to adopt? Then sponsor a pet and provide a safe place for our companions to rest until they find their forever homes. Help us give them a second chance at a fresh start.

TORCH
Torch is my name and playing is my game. People love the way the sun hits my brindle coat when I run. And I dream every night of romping around and frolicking in a big yard with my new forever family. I can see it now, we are the perfect match. Some people are awed by my size, but I am just one big ol’ cuddle bug. Come give me a treat and a hug and I’ll be your new best friend. Let’s play.
TEDDY

Hi folks, my name is Teddy. I'm a 5-year-old domestic short haired black and white stud, if I do say so myself. I came in as a stray and have slowly begun to adjust to my new surroundings. I am very shy and quite like ninja! I tend to be a little on the independent side, but will totally come get some loving when the time is right. Trust is a big thing for me and I know you can relate to that. Won't you come by the shelter and ask for me? Who knows, we may just end up living a life of bliss together.

JOSIE
Hi, I'm Josie, a sweet ray of sunshine biding my time at the shelter until someone picks me as their newest member of their family. I was nervous when I arrived at the shelter as a stray but quickly became a staff and volunteer favorite because of my loving personality and affectionate nature. With my caramel colored coat and liquid caramel eyes, I am just as pretty as I am nice. Why don't you grab your family, two legged and four legged members, and come down to meet me? I'm ready to get my summer vacation started.
DARCY

Everyone here thinks I am a Super Girl, so who am I to argue? I think I get my nickname from what a great recovery I made since coming into the shelter. I’ve put on some weight, gotten healthy and now my personality is the thing you will notice first upon meeting me. I think I would thrive in a quieter home where I could be the apple of someone’s eye. I love to be loved, and I graciously give it in return. I’m great on a leash, medium energy. Check out my big beautiful ears and try not to fall in love. Come on in to the shelter…I’m waiting for you.

CHESS
My name is Chess. I’m constantly on the move, almost like the game. I’m 2 years old, I weight 7 pounds, and I’m a very attractive young lady if I do say so myself. I’ve enjoyed my time here at the BVSPCA, but I’m ready for a home I can call my own. I like to play and I can be very affectionate, but I’m also very shy, so my ideal home would probably be without children or with someone who will give me my space. Once I warm up to you, I’ll let you rub my belly – I also like to be scratched under the chin. Give me a chance. Let’s start our game today.
MICKEY

Hi, I’m Mickey – like the mouse. I’m handsome tabby boy with a dashing silver-grey coat and small stature. I can be a bit shy, so I’ll need someone who’s patient with me while I warm up to them, but once I do, I’ll happily play with you and “chirp” to communicate. Stop in and meet me today. I think we could really hit it off.
