Artstagram: Illustration in the 21st Century
June 23 - 27, 1 - 4 p.m., ages 12 - 15
From illuminated manuscripts to the work of N.C. Wyeth, illustrations have enriched stories for centuries. Today we illustrate our lives daily through social media sites like Facebook, Instagram, and Snapchat. During this week, take a fresh look at illustration and consider how stories are captured and communicated in today's world. Use painting, drawing, and photography in traditional and non-traditional ways to learn how elements of design, portraiture, and landscape can bring a story to life. |
