Media Barracks

State police from the Media barracks are investigating a case of a missing cell phone. A report said a 52-year-old man from Glen Mills reported the theft saying an empty package was delivered to the home but there was no merchandise inside. The phone, a Samsung Galaxy, is reportedly valued at $1,200.

A two-car crash on Route 202 in Concord Township led to Karen L. Graver-Toohey, 63, of Garnet Valley being cited for proceeding through a flashing red light without proper clearance. The accident happened at the intersection of Naaman’s Creek Road and Route 202. Both vehicles were towed but no injuries were reported.

Police are investigating the theft of a $250 Eagles recycled metal sign from the Rally House on Route 1 in Concord Township. The incident happened on Feb. 2. According to the report, the unknown suspect entered the Rally House with his daughter, paid for merchandise, but then took the Philadelphia Eagles sign without paying for it as he left.

Avondale Barracks

Police said Briana K. Bazan-Garcia, 33, of Coatesville, was cited following a two-car crash in West Marlborough Township on Feb. 11. The accident happened at 5:41 p.m., at the intersection of Chatham and Clonmell Upland roads. According to the report, Bazan-Garcia was traveling westbound on Clonmell and the second vehicle was heading north on Chatham when Bazan-Garcia, who had stopped at the stop sign, began moving forward in front of the other car that did not have a stop sign. The driver of the second car tried to swerve out of the way, police said, but the two cars struck each other.

A 53-year-old man from Grants Pass, Ore. — not identified in the report — was arrested for shoplifting at the East Marlborough Township Walmart on Jan. 5. He is accused of trying to steal 17 items valued at $238.

Walter F. Rodas Vicente, 48, of West Chester, was cited following a one-car crash in Pocopson Township on Feb. 6, state police said. Rodas Vicente and two passengers were transported for treatment of injuries, the report said. According to that report, Rodas Vicente was driving west on Lenape Road, but was driving too fast for conditions. The driver lost control, slid sideways striking a tree, and came to rest at the bottom of an embankment near W. Lafayette Dr. The accident happened at 6:30 a.m.
