• Hagley Museum continues its Science Saturdays this summer. The next event is July 27 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Invisible magnetic fields can be used in so many ways. Build a magnet toy and tinker with the force. Visitors of all ages are invited to discover solutions to science and engineering challenges. • There are three exhibits on display at the Brandywine River Museum of Art. Andy Wyeth’s Every Leaf & Twig: Andrew Wyeth’s Botanical Imagination runs through Sept. 15, Peter Paone’s In Shadows’ Embrace: Prints by Peter Paone runs through Oct. 13, and Frank Stewart’s Nexus: An American Photographer’s Journey, 1960s to the Present runs through Sept. 22.

• Winterthur is hosting an Artisan Market this weekend, July 19, 20 and 21. Artisan Market reflects the mission of Winterthur by showcasing local artisans through a variety of handmade crafts relating to art, textiles, ceramics, glass, woodworking, antiques, and gardening. More than 100 artisans will be on hand and there will be live music, too. The market runs noon to 5 p.m. on Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, and again on Sunday. • Chadds Ford Township is scheduled to hold a special meeting on the future of Painters Folly. The goals of the meeting include determining the best use for the property that was once the home of Howard Pyle who taught illustration to N.C. Wyeth. Wyeth’s son Andrew made several of his paintings about and from the house on Baltimore Pike. The meeting will be at the township building, at 6 p.m. on Aug. 15. • Paw Prints Forever Crematory will hold a special National Pet Memorial Day event on Sept. 8 from 1 to 3 p.m. at its Chadds Ford office. The event is designed to honor and remember the beloved pets who have touched our lives with their unconditional love and companionship. It will feature a variety of meaningful activities, including a bubble release, memorial readings, a blessing of the pets, and a paint-your-own memorial stone activity.
