State police arrested a 51-year-old woman from Kennett Square (not named in the report) with DUI following a traffic stop for vehicle code infractions. The incident happened shortly before midnight on June 10 on E. Baltimore Pike. Troopers noticed indicators of impairment and a field sobriety test also indicated impairment, the report said.

Police said they arrested a 45-year-old man from Kennett Square on DUI charges on Parkerville Road shortly after 1 a.m. on June 8. No other details of the incident were released.

Dominic Mastantuono, 85, of Avondale, was cited for excessive speed following a two-vehicle crash on Route 1 near Onix Drive in East Marlborough To9wnship on June 6, police said. According to the report, Mastantuono rear-ended a car that was stopped for a red light. No injuries were reported.

Police said Eduardo Soto Ramirez, 30, of Oxford, was arrested for DUI after the vehicle he was driving ran off Doe Run Road in West Marlborough Township. After running off the road, the car struck a utility pole, the report said.

Kennett Square Police Department

Police said Silvestre Huertero-Guzman was arrested for DUI on May 22. According to the report, at approximately 8:25 a.m., officers were dispatched for a disabled vehicle in the area of N. Union and E. Linden streets. Where they observed a blue Honda stopped and blocking the opposite lane of travel on E. Linden Street. The vehicle was facing westbound in the eastbound lane and was very close to N. Union Street. Police said they detected a slight odor of alcohol and his eyes appeared glassy and red. Following the completion of standardized field sobriety tests, Huertero-Guzman was taken into custody for suspicion of DUI. He submitted to a chemical test of his breath, which resulted in a 0.137 percent blood alcohol level.

Kennett borough police have filed an allegation of aggravated assault, recklessly endangering another person, strangulation, and simple assault against a juvenile male. On May 9, an email report was received regarding the suspected physical abuse of a female juvenile. The email indicated a juvenile male choked a juvenile female, to the point of her passing out. After conducting interviews with both juveniles involved and their parents and watching a video of the altercation, the allegation was sent to Chester County Juvenile Probation.
