• A new Amenity Center is now open at 2 Christy Drive in the Chadds Ford Business Campus. There’s a training room, conference room, and a break area with credit card-accessible vending machines. The Henderson Group, the owner of the property, officially opened the Amenity Center on Aug. 9 with an ice cream party for tenants of the complex.

In an email a few days after the opening, Henderson's CEO and President Brian Coyle said, "The idea for the project came from talking with our tenants and hearing about some of their pain points.  Many of our smaller tenants may not have the room for our conference room in their office layout, but they would like the ability to use one from time to time.  Similarly, many of our tenants run training programs for their employees but don't have the need for a dedicated training center full-time.  The final ingredient, of course, is the cafe area with the grab-and-go market/vending area.  We imagine this will be a great spot for our tenants' employees to "escape" the office, have somewhere nice to relax, and maybe even take a quick coffee meeting with a customer or vendor."

• The next meeting of the Business Professional Association of Western Delaware County is Wednesday, Aug. 16, at Brandywine Prime in Chadds Ford. Cocktails and networking begin at 6:15 p.m., and a sit-down dinner is at 7. The cost is $40 for members and their guests, and $50 for nonmembers.
