Happy Holidays from the gang at Leaders. For more than 30 years, Jim Leader, second from left, has been hosting a Christmas Eve open house at his gas and service station on Route 1 at Station Way Road. The service bay is transformed into a smorgasbord area with car lifts serving as supports for the food tables.

• The Chester County Arts Association will host an opening reception for its January exhibits on Thursday, Jan. 9 from 5-7 p.m. The exhibits include Thinking in Reverse invitational printmaking exhibit and a non-juried group show, All Things In Motion!

• Steve Forbert & The New Renditions Trio will perform two shows at The Kennett Flash on Tuesday, Dec. 31. Tickets are available at www.kennettflash.org. Advance tickets are $45 and tickets on the day of the show will be $50. Each performance includes a complimentary champagne toast. The early show with Steve Forbert will open doors at 6 and the show will begin at 7 p.m. The late show will open doors at 9 p.m. and the show will begin at 9:30. The late show will finish by 11 p.m., allowing guests to attend the Mushroom Drop in Kennett Square or make it home to celebrate.
