Concord Township will become a home rule charter township beginning Jan. 1, 2017. Voters said yes to the ballot question during the April 26 primary election.

There’s going to be a new government in Concord Township and a new senator in Harrisburg. Beginning Jan. 1, Concord Township will no longer be operating under Pennsylvania’s Second Class Township Code.
